Bio-Remediation

Stage 05 · Let nature do the cleaning

Naturally occurring microbes continuously digest the oils and organics dissolved in your wash-water — a hands-off, environmentally friendly loop.

05 / 06
The Technology

Bio-remediation introduces beneficial, naturally occurring microorganisms that consume hydrocarbons and organic contaminants as food, breaking them down into nothing more than water and carbon dioxide.

Because the microbes work around the clock and reproduce on their food source, a bioremediation system needs little day-to-day attention and produces no hazardous sludge to haul away — making it one of the greenest ways to keep a wash-water loop clean.

What This Stage Handles

  • Dissolved oils
  • Organics
  • Odor
  • BOD / COD load
How It Works

Inside the bio-remediation stage

1

Inoculation

Beneficial microbes are introduced into the recirculating holding tank.

2

Aeration

Diffused air keeps the colony healthy and accelerates digestion.

3

Digestion

Microbes continuously consume oils and organics, regenerating the water.

Bio-Remediation Systems

Bioremediation water treatment systems

Bioremediation uses microbiological organisms to consume organic contaminants in a waste stream. These systems also require aeration and micronutrients to keep the bugs thriving. This is often the only feasible means to treat these types of contaminants onsite — proper pre-treatment to remove the majority of suspended solids and free oil will vastly improve results.
